Alas, no Digital Illustration for me. I wasn’t really expecting to get in before today, but unfortunately I got my hopes up at the start of class. Even though there had been a huge waiting list, only one unregistered person other than myself actually showed up, and for the first ten minutes there was even an unfilled spot in the class! And the professor seemed really cool, and I was getting really psyched to dive into a Photoshop demo. But then, two people showed up late, and those two people were registered. The professor kindly asked if anyone was considering dropping, and felt bad about the other girl and I having to leave, but there was nothing to be done. Is it wrong for me to think that waitlisted people who show up early should have precedence over registered people who show up late? Bleh.
Luckily, though, MassArt provided an instant pick-me-up! Down in the lobby there was a table with free coffee and muffins manned by a group of very friendly, chipper students! Apparently they were there simply to welcome students back and help them have a cheery start to the semester. It certainly worked for me! If only life was always like that; something disappointing happened to you? Here’s free coffee and a muffin! I’m telling you, it works wonders.
Now I am going to relax with my free cup of coffee (I already snorfed down the muffin) and hang out until my afternoon class.
